A beautiful and peaceful island off of Panama’s caribbean coast. Located the provice of Colon and home to around a thousand inhabitants. Despite its name, this is a samll island at about 119 kilometers from Panama City and 13.5 kilometers from the city of Colon yet still is the largest of islands in the area. This is a place sorrounded by natural beauty and an imposing mass of exuberant vegetation of palm trees and white sand beaches. It is also an excellent destination for ‘scuba’ diving, ‘snorkeling’, and some surfing. You can also do some sports fishing and even walk to the lighthouse.
A true caribbean atmosphere flavored by afro-caribbean cuisine spiced up by curry, coconut, seafood and vegetables. Boat tours are offered on site to the love channel, monkey island and more. There are no ATMs on the island so make sure you bring cash for entrance fee, lunch and other beach activities you might want to take part on.
